The University of Kota was
established in the year 2003 by the Government of Rajasthan through ‘The
University of Kota Act, 2003’ and notified vide State Government Gazzette No.
F.2(12)/Vidhi-2/2003 dated 7th June 2003. The University came into existence through
enactment of Government of Rajasthan vide order No. F.21(2)Edu-4/2003 dated
September 9, 2003 under the provision of section -4(1) of ‘The University of
Kota Act, 2003.
The University has been included
in the list of Universities maintained by the UGC Act, 1956 under the vide
notification No. F.9-23/2003(CPP-I) dated 23rd February 2004 and finally
received Central Assistance in terms of rules framed under section 12(B) of the
UGC Act, 1956 as per Decision of Commission (item No.5.17) dated 22nd October
2012.

Pay Matrix and Qualification
Salary Details
- Professor: The pay of a directly recruited Professor shall be fixed at Academic Level 14 at the rationalized entry pay Rs.1,44,200/-.
- Associate Professor: The pay of a directly recruited Associate Professor shall be fixed at Academic Level 13A at the rationalized entry pay Rs.1,31,400/-
- Assistant Professor: The pay of a directly recruited Associate Professor shall be fixed at Academic Level 10 at the rationalized entry pay Rs.57,700/-.
