On Sept. 15, 1956, the Parliament of India passed an act known as the Indian Institute of Technology(Kharagpur) Act declaring this Institute as an Institute of national importance. The Institute was also given the status of an autonomous University. From this modest start in 1950, IIT Kharagpur has been engaged in a steady process of development in the vast tree-laden campus, spreading over 2100 acres has a self contained township of over 15,000 inhabitants.

Project Details
Project Title: MOCVD growth and p-type doping of Ga2O3 for solar blind UV photodetector applications(DBU)
Funding Agency/Sponsor: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB)(3rd and 4th Floor, Block II, Technology Bhavan, New Mehrauli Road, New Delhi 110016)
Consolidated Compensation: Upto Rs.31000(depending upon qualification & experience)
Qualifications:
Project Associate-I:
(a) M.Sc./B.Tech. in any of the following subjects, viz. Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science/Electronics/Electrical/Nanoscience/any allied subject.
Monthly Emoluments:
(i) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA who will be selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lecturership (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
(ii) Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
Relevant Experience:
Application Fees: Rs.100/=(Not for female candidates)
Age Limit: 35
Tenure: 12 Months or the termination of the project, whichever is earlier.
