About Institute
Indian Institute of Information Technology Sri City Chittoor (IIITS) was established by the Government of India as an Institute of National Importance under the Act of Parliament in PPP model along with Government of Andhra Pradesh and Industry Partners - Sri City Foundation.
IIITS aspires to be a Nationally Relevant and Globally Recognized Entrepreneurial Institution for Information Technology Education, Research and Development. The institute has a special thrust to attract and retain talented faculty members who can make a mark of excellence in teaching and research at the international level. The current team of faculty members at IIITS is from leading universities in India and abroad with excellent teaching and research credentials.

The Recruitment Rules and Pay & Allowances of IIIT Sri City are benchmarked with CFTI (Centrally Funded Technical Institutions under Ministry of Education, Government of India) along with 7th CPC guidelines. Faculty will be appointed on a regular basis with all possible service benefits. The other terms of employment and benefits are governed by the service conditions laid down by the Board of Governors of IIIT Sri City.
In addition to pay & allowances equivalent to 7th CPC, faculty members are eligible for additional allowances as approved by the Board of Governors such as seed grant, professional development allowance and annual performance-based financial incentives for performance above benchmark level in teaching, research and administration, etc. The institute also offers higher HRA, LTA, medical insurance, etc.
Mode of selection for all posts
There are two parts of evaluation (A) Seminar and (B) Interview. All shortlisted candidates recommended by the screening committee have to appear for a Seminar presentation. The candidates recommended by the Seminar assessment committee will only be called for an interview. The final selection of candidates will be based only on the interview performance.
