NIT Uttarakhand is inviting online applications for the post of Assistant Professor (Grade-II) in the various departments.

Essential Qualification
For Professor:
Ten years after Ph.D. or thirteen years total working experience, out of which seven years should be after Ph.D. at least three years at the level of Associate professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.9500 or four years at the level of Associate Professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.9000 or combination of Rs.9000 and Rs.9500 or equivalent in an Institution of repute or Research & Development lab or relevant industry.
For Associate Professor
1. Six years after Ph.D. of which at least three years at the level of Assistant Professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.8000;;
OR
2. Nine years total working experience, of which three years should be after Ph.D., with at least three years at the level of Assistant Professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.8000.
For Assistant Professor (Grade-I & II)
1. Assistant Professor (Grade-I): Three years after Ph.D. or six years total teaching and research experience in reputed academic Institute or Research and Development Labs or relevant industry.
2. Assistant Professor (Grade-II) – on contract: Nil
Pay Matrix
1. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (Grade-I): Pay Level 10 as per 7th CPC along with allowances admissible as per Institute norms. Basic Pay: Rs.70,900/-
2. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (Grade-II): Pay Level 10 as per 7th CPC along with allowances admissible as per Institute norms. Basic Pay: Rs.70,900/-
3. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR: SCALE OF PAY: (Academic Pay Level-13A) Rs. 1,31,400/-2,17,100/-
3. PROFESSOR: Pay Level 14A as per 7th CPC
along with allowances
admissible as per Institute
norms.
Basic Pay: Rs.1,59,100/-
Application Fee
(i) The each application must be accompanied by non-refundable Application Fee of Rs.1000/-. The Application Fee should be remitted Online only (online payment option is available in online Application Form) and the proof of depositing of fee should be submitted along with print out of online application. Indian nationals applying from abroad can apply with a nonrefundable application fee of Rs.5000/- or US$ 61.
(ii) The non-refundable Application Fee for SC / ST / Women / PwBD / Internal candidates is Rs.500/-.
